Recent: We performed a short nativity play and a dance as part of Langney Community Church’s Christmas cafe service. About 15 of the group came and performed a short sketch we had rehearsed during the last few weeks of the term.
The leaders also performed a sketch in the service! It is amazing how much they have learned in a term!

Forthcoming: East Side Players are entering the one-act-play class in the Eastbourne Festival.
We are performing a scene from Pilgrim’s Progress, “Vanity Fair”, where Christian and Faithful are arrested for causing trouble, and Faithful is murdered by the mob! We are attempting to get this ready for performance with less than 5 hours of rehearsal time – so far so good!
Summer school: It is proposed to run another Summer School from the 9th to the 20th August. This year’s play will be “Way Down Deep” and will tell the story of Jonah.
